Julian Assange Free After 14-Year Battle

Anonymous Bitcoin Donor Pays for Assange's Flight Home

WikiLeaks Co-Founder Finally a Free Man

After a 14-year battle against extradition to the United States, WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange is finally a free man.

In a final effort to secure his freedom, Assange's family received a Bitcoin donation worth roughly $500,000. The donation was made to an on-chain address posted by Stella Assange, Julian's fiancee.

With the donation, Assange was able to cover the expenses of his flight home. He is now reunited with his family and friends after years of being held in prison.

Assange's extradition case has been a controversial one. The US government has accused him of conspiring to hack into government computers and publishing classified information. Assange has denied the charges, and his supporters argue that he is a journalist who was simply doing his job.

The US government has been under increasing pressure to drop the charges against Assange. In recent months, several high-profile figures have spoken out in support of Assange, including former US presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard and journalist Glenn Greenwald.

With the charges against him dropped, Assange is now free to return to his work as a journalist. He has said that he plans to continue to publish information that the government does not want the public to see.
